I am Mohit V S, a 20 year old full stack software developer from Bangalore, India, who spends most of his days working and building things that can go on the web.
I fell in love with building websites in 2023 and I haven't looked back since. But my love for tech doesn't stop at the web. I love to build and learn about anything related to computers.
Currently I spend most of my time interning at Fintervue, where I help build an all around interviewing experience boosted by AI. I also freelance for clients, and frequent hackathons often enough that I end up learning something new.
I love to read (favourite book: Crime and Punishment), and I watch a lot of television (favourite movie: The Prestige, favourite TV show: House). I try and go on one trek a year, and play sports once a week.

- Developed the full conversational interview workflow in React and TypeScript, resulting in a seamless, performant candidate experience with strong state management and scalable UI, while managing integrations with multiple third-party service providers for real-time reliability.
- Refactored the recorded interviews page in TypeScript, removing unnecessary dependencies and heavy packages, improving bundle size and reducing load times on slow networks by ~10 seconds.
- Architected and developed the recruiter-facing website and dashboard from scratch in Next.js, Hono.js, and TypeScript, along with vercel cron jobs, enhancing engagement and retention through optimized UI (using shadcn/ui) workflows and best practices.
- Built the backend pipeline for the interview assessment flow, leveraging coordinated background job queues using bullmq and redis to ensure scalable, fault-tolerant, and efficient assessment generation.
- Integrated the interview frontend with multiple distributed backend services, including real-time voice recognition and eye-gaze/face detection, enabling low-latency, multimodal interview analysis at scale.
- Implemented multipart interview video uploads via AWS S3 pre-signed URLs, optimizing for upload reliability and offloading bandwidth from backend servers for cost and performance efficiency.
- Architected the backend logic and frontend interface for the Exit Interview Analysis AI chatbot, integrating tooling and guardrails, streaming response handling, and stateful UI via Vercel AI SDK for a seamless recruiter experience.

- Designed and developed a web application for a Montessori preschool, enabling parents to access circulars, homework, and school events. Built an admin dashboard with role-based authentication, and integrated Google Drive API for secure file storage, retrieval, and improved accessibility.
- Developed a blog-style web application for a client to showcase Indian startup incubator culture and proposed improvements, focusing on intuitive UI/UX design and seamless page-to-page navigation.
